The Love song of J Alfred Prufrock

Thomas Stearns Eliot was born in 1888 in Missouri into a family of English origins, their parents were proud of their culture. His education was linked to Romantic literature but he found it old-fashioned, his approach to poetry is different.

Eliot was influenced by european literature and his knowledge was very wide.

The love song of J. Alfred Prufrock is a poem which doesn't talk about love: this is beacause everything is used to get us to know the situation of the modern man.

He wants us to feel what the modern man felt, He wants to make readers puzzled as the modern man was,for this reason he gave the title "the love song", because people aspect to read something about love but, in the end, they realize that there was no links.
